The American Red Cross is offering a free online tool for organizations to assess how prepared they are to handle large-scale disasters like the one that hit Japan a week ago.
According to the Insurance Information Institute, 15 percent to 40 percent of businesses will fail after a large-scale disaster because they haven’t taken the necessary steps to prepare.
