FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A possible plea agreement is in the works for a former Loveland high school employee accused of having sex with a 16-year-old male student.
The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports that the attorney for 31-year-old Courtney Bowles said during a court hearing Monday that he’s negotiating with prosecutors and expects to come to an agreement. The judge approved defense attorney Derek Samuelson’s request for another hearing March 28.
Bowles is charged with sexual assault on a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The former instructional coach at Mountain View High School was arrested in January after police say found her with the student in a car in a park.
Bowles was released on $50,000 bond on condition that she not be around anyone under 18, including her daughters.
