DENVER—The latest federal oil and gas lease auction in Colorado has raised more than $887,000.

The Bureau of Land Management offered a single parcel on roughly 3 square miles in Routt County at its auction Thursday.

The BLM says the Denver-based oil and gas brokerage Hannon and Associates Inc. was the winning buyer with a bid of $450 an acre. Including fees, the auction raised $887,342.

The BLM also had planned to offer a smaller 76-acre parcel in Routt County, but that was deferred for protection of Columbian sharp-tail grouse.

The next BLM auction in Colorado is scheduled for May 12.
