Mortgage delinquencies on single-family homes declined again in February from both month- and year-earlier levels, according to Freddie Mac.

February’s delinquencies on single-family residences fell to 3.78 percent from 3.82 percent in January, according to Freddie’s report, and were lower than the 4.2 percent rate reported in February 2010.

The rate has declined for three consecutive months. Before a two-month period of increases late last year, the rate had fallen on a sequential basis for three years.
