A jury of seven men and five women today convicted Robert Montoya in the sexual assault of 12-year-old Kayleah Wilson.
Jurors found there was a pattern of abuse for sexual activity with the girl, who went missing March 28, 2010. Her body was discovered May 19, and police have no suspects.
Montoya, now 19, could face from two years to life in prison.
Deputy District Attorney Hollie Wilkinson rested her case late Thursday. Montoya’s defense teamed opted not to put on any witnesses this morning, going right into closing arguments.
