Denver police said Sunday a home where two men were found beaten to death six weeks ago has since been burglarized.

There has been no arrest in the deaths of Ronald Ford, 63, and Rome Sanchez, 55. A person of interest in the case, 55-year-old Daryl Rasmussen, also has not been located.

Detective John White, a Denver police spokesman, said he did not have details of the break-in Sunday, including what might have been taken.

White did not know when the home in the 100 block of North Stuart Street was breached.

“I spoke briefly with the detective working on that case, and it doesn’t appear that the burglary had anything to do with the homicide that occurred there,” he said.

The break-in was first reported by 7News.

Ford and Sanchez were longtime business and life partners, who had let Rasmussen live with them in the months before their deaths.

Police describe Rasmussen as a homeless cross-dresser who goes by the name “Ms. Puppy.”

Ford’s body was found on Feb. 11, and Sanchez was initially ruled a person of interest in the case, as well. As investigators worked in the home a week later, they found Sanchez’s body hidden among boxes in the basement.

Both men died from blows to the head.

Rasmussen has no arrest history or permanent address in Colorado, public records indicate.

Anyone with information about Rasmussen can call Denver Police at 720-913-2000 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

There is a $2,000 reward.
