Pat’s Run 2011 Colorado Shadow Run

April 16; online registration deadline is April 8: Run, walk, cycle and stroll for two laps around the Washington Park lakes, approximately 4.2 miles, for the seventh annual run honoring Pat Tillman. The Pat Tillman Foundation was established in 2004, in the wake of the soldier’s death in Afghanistan. Assembly at 9 a.m., race, 9:15 a.m. A party follows at 11 a.m. at the Blake Street Tavern, 2301 Blake St. Through a partnership with the Arizona State University Alumni Association and with support from Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, thousands of runners and walkers in 21 cities will participate in Shadow Runs on the same day. Proceeds benefit veterans, active service members and their dependents through higher-ed scholarships. Meet at South High School, and look for the American and ASU flags in the parking lot. Fitness for Living

Thursday; April 4: Five-week outdoor boot camps and YogaFit Boot Camps for various fitness and experience levels begin April 4 in Boulder, Lafayette and Longmont. Sessions are held for one hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday. Times vary and child care is available. The cost is $119 to $245 and includes before and after fitness assessments. A series of free demonstration classes are offered Thursday so the community can get a taste of the boot-camp experience. Breckenridge Spring Fever competitions

Saturday: “Ski Touring for Snow Leopards,” follow a marked route up Peak 10 and ski down a run to raise money for snow leopards; April 6: “Breck Ascent Series Race No. 4,” five hillclimb events, 5:30 p.m.; April 9: The 5 Peaks Ski Mountaineering Race; April 16: “Imperial Challenge,” a 6.2-mile mountain bike race; April 20: “Breck Ascent Series Race No. 5,” five hillclimb events, 5:30 p.m.

Real Estate Tours on B-cycle Bikes

First tour: Sunday: Denver B-cycle and Kentwood City Properties have partnered to offer a healthy way to tour real estate and get to know many great neighborhoods. The tours will include historical and market information on each neighborhood as well as tours of properties. All tours are held Sundays and begin at 2 p.m. Visit the website for a schedule. Yoga Workshop for HIV+

April 9: The Yoga Group Inc. is a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide free yoga classes to persons with HIV. They offer three free ongoing classes each week. A beginner workshop for anyone interested is noon-2 p.m. April 9. The classes are open to anyone with HIV or if you are a partner or caregiver to someone who is. Platte River Half Marathon and Buckhorn Exchange Relay

April 10: The ninth annual race includes a 2-mile run through downtown Littleton, 10 miles on the South Platte River Trail and then 1 mile to the Buckhorn Exchange Restaurant. There’s also a three-person relay option. Proceeds benefit the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Yoga workshops

Denver Century Ride/Rocky Mountain Bicycle Festival

June 11-12: The second annual ride, offering three courses ranging from 5 to 100 miles, is held in connection with the fourth annual Rocky Mountain Bicycle Festival, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days. The Community Ride, 10 a.m. on June 11, offers a range of 5 to 22 miles to accommodate every ability and includes a child-size and child-friendly aid station.
