A 24-year-old Fort Collins man is expected to survive his injuries after being thrown Wednesday from a sports car stolen the afternoon before in a home-invasion robbery in Loveland.

Ryan Crawleigh allegedly was driving the Nissan 350Z coupe “at a high rate of speed” when he lost control in the 5800 block of South Taft Hill Road in Fort Collins about 4:30 a.m., police said.

According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Crawleigh is a person of interest in the robbery in the 200 block of Monroe Avenue in Loveland. The 48-year-old resident told investigators two men broke into his home Tuesday afternoon, attacked him with a club and tied him to a bed, then robbed his home and took his car, which Crawleigh crashed a short time later.
