BOULDER, Colo.—Authorities are checking out a suspected methamphetamine lab in a homeless camp under a viaduct in north Boulder.

Boulder County sheriff’s Cmdr. Tommy Sloan tells the Daily Camera that officers Tuesday found chemicals commonly used to produce the drug. He says it appears two people were living at the camp, where at least one mattress could be seen on a ledge.

Sloan say it’s not clear if any methamphetamine was made.

Emergency personnel in hazardous materials suits removed items in a large blue bin Wednesday.
