Two University of Denver hockey players signed professional contracts Thursday, and both could play in the minor leagues as soon as today.
Kyle Ostrow, a senior forward, signed with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. Anthony Maiani, also a senior forward, signed with the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League. Both those teams play today.
Maiani finished his DU career with 126 points (34 goals and 92 assists). Ostrow collected 105 points (55 goals, 50 assists) with the Pioneers.
