
Basics for Babies
Through April 16: A Precious Child Inc. and the North Metro Fire District have joined forces to collect baby formula and diapers. Donations may be dropped off at any of the eight North Metro Fire Rescue fire stations, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The final collection point is the Broomfield 9 Health Fair at Broomfield United Methodist Church on April 16.
Fitness for Living
Today: Five-week outdoor boot camps and YogaFit Boot Camps for various fitness and experience levels begin in Boulder, Lafayette and Longmont. Sessions are held for one hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday. Times vary and child care is available. The cost is $119 to $245 and includes before and after fitness assessments. A new series of camps begins May 9.

Pat’s Run 2011 Colorado Shadow Run
April 16, online registration deadline is Friday: Run, walk, cycle and stroll for two laps around the Washington Park lakes, approximately 4.2 miles, for the seventh annual run honoring Pat Tillman. The Pat Tillman Foundation was established in 2004 after the soldier’s death in Afghanistan. Assemble at 9 a.m., race at 9:15 a.m. A party follows at 11 a.m. at the Blake Street Tavern, 2301 Blake St. Through a partnership with the Arizona State University Alumni Association and with support from Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, thousands of runners and walkers in 21 cities will participate in runs on the same day. Yoga Workshop for HIV+
Saturday: The Yoga Group Inc. is a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide free yoga classes to persons with HIV. They offer three free ongoing classes each week. Platte River Half Marathon and Buckhorn Exchange Relay
Sunday: The ninth annual race includes a 2-mile run through downtown Littleton, 10 miles on the South Platte River Trail and then 1 mile to the Buckhorn Exchange Restaurant. There’s also a three-person relay option. Proceeds benefit the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
