DENVER—A man and woman accused of leaving a baby alone in a vehicle that was later towed from downtown Denver have each pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor.
Denver prosecutors said Wednesday that Rene Calderon and Guadalupe Torres-Sanchez, both 33, pleaded guilty to attempted child abuse. Torres-Sanchez has been sentenced to one year of probation and must attend parenting classes. Calderon is scheduled for sentencing on April 15.
The two were charged after a towing firm called police to say a there was a baby in the back of a vehicle they had towed Nov. 30. The firm has said the baby was in a car seat covered in blankets.
