LOVELAND, Colo.—A rally billed as the Tax Day Tea Party in Loveland attracted about 200 people to to call for reductions in taxes and government spending.
Among the speakers gathered at the event at Lake Loveland Saturday were former Weld District Attorney Ken Buck and state Sen. Kevin Lundberg, R-Berthoud.
The Greeley Tribune reports that former U.S. Senate candidate Buck rallied support for a federal balanced budget, calling the reported $38 billion recently cut from the federal budget “too little, too late.”
Those at the rally reportedly were several cities across the Front Range, including Greeley, Evans, Windsor, Estes Park, Fort Collins and Denver.
