DENVER—President Barack Obama is promising that his proposed budget will have little impact on most businesses and farmers.
He made the comments in an interview with KCNC-TV in Denver aired Monday night. The president said only 2 percent of small businesses earn more than $250,000 and would fall under his tax plan.
The interview was one of four he did with television stations from across the country that day.
Colorado was courted as a swing state in the 2008 election and Obama admits that it will be again be a key state in the 2012 race.
Obama told KCNC that thinks there’s a strong independent streak in Colorado and says voters here are interested in the environment and technology.
