Offseason in Aspen might be a little more off than usual this spring, at least when it comes to luxury accommodations.

“This is the first time I can recall that all three of our high-end, full-service properties — The Little Nell, the St. Regis and the Hotel Jerome — will be closed down at the same time,” said Bill Tomcich, president of Stay Aspen Snowmass, a local reservations agency.

The St. Regis and Little Nell are already shuttered; the Hotel Jerome closes on Sunday. The Jerome will close for general maintenance and deep cleaning and will re-open May 13; the Nell is closed for minor renovations and will re-open May 11.

The St. Regis, on the other hand, is in the midst of a $30 million renovation that will close the four-star property’s 179 guest rooms until the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, which is scheduled June 17-19.
