Move over, Valor Christian. Broomfield is the new No. 1 team in Class 4A girls soccer, following a week in which the Eagles beat Centaurus 4-0 and tied Class 5A’s Fossil Ridge.
Valor Christian, which lost to Green Mountain, 3-1, on April 19, fell to No. 3 — and Green Mountain lept four spots to No. 2.
Speaking of Fossil Ridge, the SaberCats were one of just three teams to crack into this week’s rankings. Fossil Ridge, now No. 9 in 5A, was joined by Ralston Valley (No. 10, 5A) and Conifer (No. 9, 4A). Each team is making their season debut in the rankings.
