COLORADO — springsA man firing a gun outside a central Colorado Springs home Friday morning was fatally wounded by a police officer after “threatening” the officer, police spokesman Sgt. Steve Noblitt said.
The man, whose name has not been released, died en route to the hospital around 8 a.m.
The name of the police officer, who was not injured, also has not been released.
Sgt. Adrian Vasquez said police were called to 1714 Auburn Drive in central Colorado Springs to investigate a report of a man firing a gun into the air.
More shots were fired when officers arrived, including at least one shot from one of the officers, Vasquez said.
