A Texas accident-reconstruction team has completed its review of a fatal accident involving Colorado Sen. Suzanne Williams and has forwarded the report to a prosecutor.

The Amarillo District Crash Reconstruction Team turned its report over to the Hartley County district attorney’s office Wednesday without describing any findings.

District Attorney David Green said he had not yet read the 2-inch-thick report and could not comment on its findings.

He said it is likely that he will present a case to a grand jury May 18. That’s one week after the Colorado General Assembly is set to adjourn.

“I can’t comment on if any charges will be filed,” Green said.

He said the investigations are very thorough and that this investigation took longer than usual because of weather and staffing delays.

Brianna Michelle Gomez, 30, who was seven months pregnant, was killed in the accident Dec. 26. The woman’s son, Curran Blaec Gomez, was delivered by cesarean section in an Amarillo hospital.

Williams’ 2010 Honda CR-V veered into the southbound traffic lane and hit a GMC Yukon driven by 30-year-old Eric Gomez, Brianna Gomez’s husband.
