OneRepublic appears on “Biggest Loser” (but not as contestants)
appeared on network television this week, but not on “Letterman” or “Leno.” This time it was on NBC’s, “The Biggest Loser.” In what appeared as a coming out party for the show’s contestants, the guys provided the evening’s entertainment and an unforgettable night to celebrate the hard work put forth by the participants. Not a bad way to be rewarded, eh?
Yerkish, Sprint combine efforts for new name
A couple of weeks ago, , YouTube and all collaborated in an effort to give Yerkish a new name. Not that Yerkish is a bad name, but a new one wouldn’t hurt. As part of a “Random Acts of Kindness” campaign, Sprint and Yerkish used YouTube to solicit new band name ideas. Over 57,000 entries have been received and May 11 is the big day when Yerkish will select one entry as their new proud name. I wonder if we can get Congress to subscribe to the same plan?

is no longer happy just being a musician. The calling of becoming a brewmaster was too tempting for Hollingsworth and his heart led him to a joint venture with Boulder Beer. The end result is, Hoopla, an almost-IPA that has hints of citrus fruit. The sudsy libation will see its national release in the form of a 22 ounce bomber and on draft May 14.
Bare Bones appears on No Depression Comp, headlining Forest Room 5 Patio Series
has much to celebrate these days. The South Broadway twangers have found their way on to the latest compilation in their very short time around the scene. Bare Bones will headline the first of many outdoor shows in an ongoing patio series at my favorite Highland watering hole, . They will share the stage with Land Lines on May 21 and look for to play the next Forest Room 5 patio show, May 28.
