One of the old trees in Denver’s Country Club neighborhood was knocked over by strong winds on Monday.
When the large tree went down at the home on Marion Street between 4th and 5th Avenue, it smashed the windshield of a classic pickup and also severely damaged a Honda Accord.
Bob Dendinger, the Accord’s owner, was inside his house when the tree snapped.
“All of a sudden I heard this huge crash and I thought, ‘What could this be?’ Like something was blowing away big time and I came out and there it was: the branch. I looked at my car and I went over to my car and it was crushed,” he said.
