An Aurora police officer is being investigated for allegedly street racing and endangering the welfare of two children, 9News reported.

Aurora police Officer Jason Pray, 38, is accused of racing Ronald Bennett, 53, down Castle Pines Parkway in March. Authorities said both men were driving 81 mph in a 40-mph zone and that Pray had two children in his car, both younger than 16.

Pray was driving a 2007 BMW and Bennett was driving a 2008 Corvette, 9News said, and the race ended when both men crashed.
