Linda Stapel wiped tears from her eyes outside the Loveland Bank of America home lending office.

Surrounded by a dozen protesters who say they are fed up with banks taking people’s homes, the Johnstown woman hoped the bank would change the conditions of her loan.

“We just want to make a statement,” she said.

“They need to help us. We bailed them out, and they won’t help us. What happened to reciprocity?
