SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A former Gannett Co. newspaper manager has been named the new president and publisher of the South Bend Tribune.

The Schurz Communications Inc.-owned Tribune announced Thursday that Kim Wilson will replace David Ray, who retired in April after 11 years as the newspaper’s publisher.

Wilson was president and publisher of the Fort Collins Coloradoan and Gannett’s Colorado Media Group for more than two years before leaving that position in December. She previously worked for Gannett newspapers in Louisville, Ky.; Huntington, W.Va.; and Pensacola, Fla.

Wilson grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in advertising.

She will begin working at the Tribune June 1.
