Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has agreed to acquire allergy testing company Phadia AB from private-equity firm Cinven Ltd. for $3.5 billion in a bid to further bolster its diagnostics offerings.
Thermo will pay $500 million cash and $3 billion in debt.
