The state’s confirmed equine herpes virus cases climbed to nine Friday as the Colorado Department of Agriculture investigates the potentially lethal disease.
The number of suspected cases remained at 22. Two new quarantine and hold orders were issued for a total of 12.
Those orders now include Garfield and Gunnison counties in addition to Bent, Boulder, Larimer, Mesa, Morgan and Weld counties.
