Road work on Saturday morning will shut down Arapahoe Road near Parker Road.
All lanes of Arapahoe, in both directions, will be closed from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and detours will be in place, according to a Colorado Department of Transportation media release.
“This work was scheduled to take place overnight earlier this week, but due to the inclement weather we were unable to complete it,” said CDOT Project Engineer Ed Bullard. “To keep our contractor on schedule for some major milestones in June, we must complete the work on Saturday.”
During the closure, the following detours will be in place: Eastbound drivers on Arapahoe will take a right onto Chambers Way and drive behind the Cornerstar Mall to Parker Road. Westbound motorists on Arapahoe will take Lewiston Way north around Arapahoe Crossing Mall to the traffic signal at Parker Road.
Delays are possible during the closure and alternate routes are advised.
