GREELEY — A woman is facing a felony for allegedly letting her jealousy of a calf get the best of her, the Greeley Tribune reported.
Christina Cantu, 34, was arrested in late April after a fight with her live-in boyfriend, Fernando Rodri guez, in which she’s accused of trying to stab him with an 8-inch kitchen knife and kicking a hole in a door.
She’s been charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor criminal mischief, the Tribune said.
“Fernando was taking care of a sick calf when Christina came home and was angry at him for paying more attention to the sick animal than her,” according to a Weld County sheriff’s affidavit. “Christina accused Fernando of not being in love with her anymore.”
