COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—Mountain Vista scored three second-half goals, including two in 48 seconds, to win the Class 5A state girls soccer championship 3-1 over Dakota Ridge.

Trailing 1-0 in the 56th minute, Mountain Vista tied the game Wednesday night on a 40-yard shot from Gabby Miranda that rocketed past Dakota Ridge goalie Haley Milhollan.

Top-seeded Mountain Vista (17-0-2), a Highlands Ranch school that won its first title since 2005, took a 2-1 lead in the 75th minute on Bri Pugh’s goal. Kortney Hix then accounted for the final score.

Dakota Ridge (16-2-2), the No. 3 seed from Littleton, took a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute on Kelsey Loupee’s shot past keeper Danielle Cushing.
