ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—A New Mexico man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for several bank robberies in different states.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque says 34-year-old Kacey Allen Fisher of Bloomfield was sentenced Tuesday. He had pleaded guilty to robbing three banks in New Mexico, three in Arizona and two in Colorado.

Fisher was also sentenced to five years of supervised release and was ordered to pay restitution to the banks.

Fisher has been in federal custody since his arrest in August 2008.

Federal prosecutors say Fisher and a co-defendant robbed the banks over a six-week period in early 2008.
