Third baseman Ian Stewart is having more troubles in Triple-A after dropping down from the Rockies.
On Thursday, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox put Stewart on the 7-day disabled list retroactive to Wednesday with a hamstring strain.
Stewart sustained the injury Tuesday. When he returns to action with the Sky Sox, he’ll resume his comeback attempt to get back with the Colorado Rockies.
Stewart has been demoted twice by the Rockies this season due to his struggles at the plate.
