The Rev. Timothy Tyler and Shorter Community African Methodist Episcopal Church will hold a Men’s Ministry Retreat and Worship Experience, with special guest the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 10th and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 11th.
Pastor emeritus Wright, who preached at President Barack Obama’s church in Chicago, will facilitate discussions at the retreat examining the role of black men in the home, the church and society. Topics include identifying the root cause of the black-male crisis.
The retreat will be at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. Registration closed Tuesday.
