Police are investigating a stabbing in downtown Denver last night.

At 12:35 a.m., the male victim and the suspect started arguing near 16th Street and Stout Street, said Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

The suspect then pulled out a knife and stabbed the man before fleeing, Jackson said.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Police will speak with the victim later today, Jackson said.
