The bar at Famous Dave’s BBQ, at 7557 E. 36th Ave. in Stapleton, which was famously destroyed when a Denver street sweeper plowed the building, opened Wednesday — just 49 days after the accident.
The restaurant reopened 33 hours after the mishap, but the bar had remained closed and under reconstruction since April 18. The barbecue joint is making light of the situation by offering drink specials from 4 p.m. to closing including one dollar streetsweeper shots.
