Wells Fargo Bank inside the Safeway at 1050 Ken Pratt Blvd. was robbed Thursday evening for the second time in about three months.

At about 6:49 p.m., an older, pale woman who covered her face with a blue bandanna gave a teller a note that she was robbing the bank, according to Longmont Police Detective Stephen Desmond.

In the note, the woman said she had AIDS and would give it to the teller, Desmond said.

The teller gave the woman an undisclosed amount of money and the woman left the bank. She did not show a weapon and no one was injured.

Witnesses described the woman as between the ages of 55 and 75, with a bony build and thin face, according to Desmond. She coughed frequently, he added.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the woman is asked to call Desmond at 303-774-4590.
