LONGMONT — A woman robbed a Wells Fargo bank Thursday night by threatening to use AIDS as a weapon.

About 6:49 p.m., an older, pale woman who covered her face with a blue bandanna entered the bank inside the Safeway on Ken Pratt Boulevard and gave a teller a note that she was robbing the bank, the Times- Call newspaper reported.

In the note, the woman claimed to have AIDS and threatened to infect the teller. The teller gave the woman an undisclosed amount of money. The robber did not show a weapon and no one was injured.

Witnesses described the woman as between the ages of 55 and 75, with a bony build and thin face. She coughed frequently.
