Vintage costume jewelry from such famous French designers as Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior is highly collectible, and Dan Sharp is among a select group of retailers who show and sell it. He’s particularly fond of Chanel designs and notes that she was among the first designers to promote it. In “The Gospel According to Coco Chanel,” Karen Korbo writes, “Before Chanel, costume jewelry was mainly replicas of pieces of fine jewelry. She went one step farther and made sure there was no mistake about it: That enormous cross encrusted with knuckle-size ‘gems’ swinging at the bottom of that heavy gold chain was as fake as it gets.” Sharp, whose Cherry Creek North boutique also sells luxury outerwear, hosts a trunk show of jewelry from the 1880s through 1980s Tuesday through Saturday. A portion of sales goes to Kempe Foundation. Dan Sharp Europe, 218 Steele St., 303-333-6666;
