Two Aspen visitors were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of a variety of offenses ranging from theft, drug possession, and carrying a concealed weapon.
One of the defendants, Warren Douglas Dennis, posted $3,500 bond Wednesday and faces possession of mushrooms, a class-six felony; a misdemeanor charge of theft and separate petty offenses of possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana; and a count of unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.
Dennis, 46, and Sue Bentley Hollingshead, 50, both of Boulder, were originally cited for theft charges after police pegged them for distracting employees at Sashae Floral Art & Gifts in Aspen so the woman could steal such items as bracelets, earrings, incense and oils, and a scarf.
