The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is warning theatergoers about scalpers selling tickets to performances.
KMGH-TV reports that theater patrons are paying up to three times the face value of tickets to attend Broadway touring productions, plus service fees, at websites designed to look like they’re affiliated with the theater.
Performing arts center spokeswoman Stacy Shaw says they began warning theatergoers about so-called “second-party vendors” after some people purchased invalid tickets.
