A former high school teacher in Fountain has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child.
Anthony J. Ribaudo, 36, is suspected of having sexual contact with a student in May, according to a Fountain Police Department media release.
Ribaudo, a former teacher at Fountain-Fort Carson High School who coached the boys varsity basketball team, resigned from his position Monday. He coached the Trojans to the 2009-10 5A Metro League title.
Ribaudo was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
The felony assault allegedly took place in May, and the investigation is ongoing. He is being held on $10,000 bail.
