The skies near the interchange of Interstate 70 and C470 will be filled today with two-wheeled machines as the AMA pro championship series take to the Thunder Valley Motocross Park for the seventh year.
The world’s best motocross racers, men and women, will tear into the 1.3-mile dirt track that was founded in 1999 and hosted its first AMA pro event by 2005.
Motocross fans can spend the day out there today as the practice and qualifying rounds start at 8:30 a.m. After a break, there will be the opening ceremonies at 12:30 p.m. to set up the finals events, which are scheduled to begin at 1.
