Crews are working to fix a water main break in Cherry Creek North.

Shortly before 8 a.m., a 12-inch water main broke at Second Avenue and Columbine Street, said Stacy Chesney, spokeswoman for Denver Water.

The work to the main wil lbe done about 6:30 p.m., but Second Avenue will be closed between Columbine and Clayton streets until Wednesday morning, Chesney said.

A paving company will pave the roadway in the morning and then streets will reopen.
