THORNTON, Colo.—Investigators are looking at weather conditions at the time of a small-plane crash that killed the pilot.
The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA are investigating what caused the crash on Wednesday. Strong winds in the area temporarily grounded planes at Denver International Airport in the afternoon.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer says the Cessna 182 crashed in a field.
Kenitzer says the plane was on a local flight from the Front Range Airport east of Denver.
