A woman on a bicycle was injured this afternoon when she was hit by a motorcycle in southwest Denver.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Sheridan Boulevard, said John White, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
Initially, it was thought the woman suffered serious injuries, but the injuries were not that serious after all, White said.
The woman, who is likely in her 30s, was riding a bicycle across Sheridan from east to west when she was hit by a motorcycle, White said.
She was taken to a local hospital. The motorcycle driver was not injured.
White said police are looking into the possibility that alcohol was a factor for the motorcycle driver. An investigation into the traffic accident is ongoing.
