SALIDA — A bus accident in a state park in southern Colorado injured seven people.
Authorities said a bus owned by Vessels for Honor Rafting Co. rolled on its top on Colorado 50 along the Arkansas River late Thursday afternoon. Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman Debbie Frazier said seven people were taken by ambulance to a Cañon City hospital.
Frazier said she doesn’t know the extent of the injuries or what caused the accident. She said there were 38 people on the bus, which was pulling a trailer with rafts on it.
The accident occurred on the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area near Salida. Federal, state and local agencies are investigating the accident.
