Eight people arrested last summer in Greeley as part of a federal gang and drug raid have now been sentenced to lengthy federal sentences.

According to the U.S. District Attorney’s Office, 46 gang members and their associates were arrested last summer as part of an Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms-led gang and drug raid in Greeley following a two-year drug trafficking investigation.

So far, eight of them have been sentenced; the remaining defendants are still contemplating deals or deciding whether to take their cases to trial, said Jeff Dorschner, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The most severe prison sentence so far is 12 and a half years; the least severe is a year on federal probation.
