BOULDER, Colo.—The son of a disbarred Lafayette lawyer accused of fleeing to Mexico to avoid prosecution on sex-assault charges has been arrested on accusations he tried to help his father escape from jail.
The Daily Camera reports () 19-year-old Andre Glenn Rogers is being held on $10,000 bond on suspicion of aiding an escape attempt. Prosecutors allege he had brought a bobby pin into a Boulder County courtroom with the intention of giving it to another inmate to help his father, Duane Glenn Rogers, escape.
The elder Rogers is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl from 2003 to 2008. He was found in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, earlier this year and was extradited back to Boulder County.
Duane Rogers remains in custody on $1 million bond.
