A quick-thinking commuter pulled a woman from a car filling with water after it plunged into a pond in Greenwood Village just before noon today.
The pond is outside Greenwood Plaza Shopping Center at East Orchard Road and Greenwood Plaza Boulevard.
Greenwood Village police said the woman was driving west from an adjacent parking lot, jumped the curb, clipped a tree and then drove out into the middle of the pond.
The cause of the one-car crash is under investigation and the driver faces possible citations, police said.
