DENVER—Kristi Lansford has been named the new softball coach at Division II Metro State in Denver, replacing Vanessa Becerra.
Lansford previously was an assistant coach for Division I Cal State Bakersfield. Before that, she spent seven seasons coaching Division II San Francisco State, which advanced to the Division II College World Series for the first time under Lansford.
Becerra is becoming the head softball coach at Washburn in Kansas.
