Wendy Kale got her start promoting concerts by big names like the Eagles and the Rolling Stones at the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field, and, over the next 30 years, she never took her fingers off the pulse of Boulder’s music scene.
Kale, 58, a longtime music columnist for the Colorado Daily, was found dead in her Boulder apartment on Tuesday. The Boulder County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy Wednesday, but has not yet determined the cause and manner of death — but it is not considered suspicious.
Friends and colleagues in the local music scene mourned Kale on Wednesday, saying she was a fixture of Boulder’s rock clubs for decades and an unparalleled supporter of homegrown music.
