A father and daughter found dead in a Longmont home Sunday were identified by authorities Tuesday as 38-year-old David Heydenburg and 3-year-old Allyson Heydenburg.
David Heydenburg had custody of the child for the weekend. When the mother, who moved out in June, came to retrieve the girl Sunday evening at the home on Red Mountain Drive, no one answered the door. She called police, who discovered the two bodies inside.
The bodies were found in the master bedroom with a note nearby, the Longmont Times-Call reported Tuesday. Though authorities said that both people had been shot, the Boulder County coroner’s office has not officially released a cause of death. The Denver Post
